What is HIEMT? 

HIEMT standing for High-intensity electromagnetic technology contracts muscles in a specific location with a powerful but safe form of electromagnetic stimulation. These magnetic fields generate electrical currents, which are then transferred to the muscles, where they contract often enough to develop muscle and burn fat. Final results can be as dramatic as looking to be the equal of six months of dieting and workouts are typically noticeable four weeks after your treatment plan is completed, or about six weeks after your first session.

How many sessions do I need to have?

We recommend completing two lots of 4 sessions for ideal results. Results will be seen with just 4 sessions, sometimes even after 1 session.

Does it hurt?

Every client's comfort and pain is different. Some people feel slight discomfort, others may not feel anything at all. It does feel like an intense workout as your muscles are undergoing a vigorous series of contractions every few minutes for a total of 30 minutes. The treatment initially feels quite intense, however, clients get used to the sensation during the treatment.

What areas can this be done on?

HIEMT can be performed on the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and upper arms.

Is there any downtime?

No recovery time is needed. You can continue back to normal activity following treatment.

Who CAN'T have this treatment?

You cannot have HIEMT if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator, implanted neurostimulator, drug pump, or electric implanted device. If you have metal rods, pins, plates, metal IUD, or orthopedic implants/joints. Pulmonary insufficiency, cardiac disorders, epilepsy, or active malignancy. Bleeding disorders or taking a blood thinner. History of hernia repair with mesh or any recent surgical procedure in the area (including C-section). Any injury, damage, or tear to muscle or soft tissue in the area to be treated including active hernia. The device cannot be used near the chest, head, or neck and you MUST be over 18 years of age.

Are there any risks?

Whilst HIEMT is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, there are certain risks that individuals should be aware of before undergoing the treatment. Risks include muscle soreness, redness, and swelling (usually mild and temporary), muscle injury (this is a small risk but possible, especially with pre-existing muscle conditions), and nerve sensation (some people may experience temporary tingling or nerve sensations during the procedure. It is usually not painful, but might feel unusual).

What do I need to do before the treatment?

Remove all metal objects, including body piercings, and clothes with metal attachments or studs. Treatment should be at least 1hr after meals. Drink lots of water and eat food with high protein content.

What do I need to do after the treatment?

Drink lots of water and eat food with high protein content. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications or other muscle relaxants immediately after the treatment. These medications may interfere with the natural muscle-building process. If you experience mild tenderness or discomfort in the treated area, a warm compress may ease muscle tension. Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours. These substances can dehydrate the body and in effect may interfere with muscle recovery.

[A 30-minute consultation to see if you are suitable for this treatment. In this consultation, we will address any questions or concerns you have. Should you wish to go ahead with a HIEMT treatment, the $50 consultation fee will be redeemable on your future HIEMT treatment.
